Deleuze’s emphasis is mainly on the productivity of being. Being is certainly not a fixed thing, but rather a constantly modulating process. Deleuze’s terminology highlights this productivity in other ways, as he often describes the process of becoming as “machinic” or as the consequence of “desiring-machines.”
