This anime series is loosely based on the ground-breaking anime Ghost in the Shell and features great animation and soundtrack.
The story takes place at a time before the protagonist merged minds with the hacker at the end of the original movie. So all the famous characters are still there, plus some additional ones.
The episodes are divided into “stand alone” episodes and “complex” episodes. Stand alone episodes are one-episode crime stories, while the complex episodes are based on each other and build a major plot – the “Laughing Man” case.
So far, there have been two seasons with 26 episodes each. Rumours are there might be a 3rd season.
