Getting Lost in a Book

The best way to lose yourself.

Also a way to find yourself.

I am in love... with books! My favorite subjects to read about are: psychology, personality development, mythology, i like reading freak medical accidents also.

Have any of you read The Bad Place-by Dean Koontz?

if you haven't i highly suggest reading it... although it is a bit twisted.

I also like to read a lot about the modern day vampire. I am researching Ezerbeth Bathery at the moment.

I've read a few Dean Koontz books, but I don't know if I read that one…

It is the one about the screwed up family with super powers. it has many different points of view, with the different characters. It also has to do with a couple that are also cops.

If you haven't i say it is his best yet, (that i have read anyway.).

That sounds interesting — i checked right away if our library has this one, and yes, there are four copies !! *s*

Haa, even better, that one is situated in my local library, so i can get it today if i wish!

I just hope the language is not too difficult. I haven't read that many books in english.... 

Oh, I think you'll be fine! It probably helps if you've read the Bronte's, Dickens, etc., but I haven't all that much and I survived!

not sure what the best book i've read is…rendezvous with rama, the alienist, the matarese circle…all very good…

I like many books. So i cant really tell my fav.

I wasnt thinking if I got lost in the book.

All of Tolkien's books have that effect on me.Sometimes I even forget to eat.

I sometimes forget to sleep, but I never forget to eat. I'll often eat while reading.

I love books :P Always a great use of my time. Sometimes I don't get lost but, for most of the ones I read I do. The current book I am reading, my head is stuck in it. <3 Silent Honor <3

You have no idea how reassuring to my sanity this is. I live in a really small, south texas town, and i am almost positive that i am the only one within 50 miles that owns more books than movies.  I escape into another world at least once a week!

i have actually started laughing or caught myself with a silly grin on my face while reading my books. i loose myself in them and forget where i am. it is the best thing in the whole world when you can almost see yourself there inside that little world.

It amazing what a good book can do … last week I cuaght myself crying at a dramatic climax in my book. That was the first time I cried in months.. it take me over compleatly.

It's just amazing how a book can make me laugh or cry… It happens to me that, once I've started a book, I can't just stop and leave it there waiting…so I just forget anything else (sleeping for instance) and I litterally devour it…

what is really sad is when you dont even hear people talking to you while you are reading…. happens to me all the time

I know! Stephanie Meyer has AMAZING talent! She makes the whole world seem diffrent somehow and it's great! :] Every word in Twilight has me want reading more of it!

The Pellinor Series is a really good fantasy book. =] I've read it a dozen or so times, I love it so much.
