Get to know Them, Respect Them and Ask Them

Some of us don’t mince. Some of us don’t work as hairdressers. Some of us don’t spend a king’s ransom on our wardrobes. Some of us, even, don’t present tv makeover shows. And if we do, well, hey – there’s nothing wrong with that if that’s our choice.

Most of us go unnoticed. We’re the underside of the iceberg, and everyone you see who you THINK is all of us is just the tip. We’re defending your country, we’re teaching your children, we’re operating on you, we’re policing your streets, and we’re farming your food. We’re quite often married, we have children of our own, and sometimes we’re what your best friend is on those occasional Friday nights when he’s out of town.

The scary thing is, we look just like you.
