The three members of Friendly Fires met their each other at St Albans school. After graduating, the formed a rock band inspired in dance music. The name Friendly Fires came from the opening song of Section 25 LP Always Now. The band says that their influences are Prince, Carl Craig and the techno music of the Kompakt german recorder.
