Frankie Boyle (born 16 August 1972 in Glasgow) is a Scottish comedian, and has appeared on TV shows Mock the Week (where he is a regular), 8 Out of 10 Cats and has written for Jimmy Carr’s show “Distraction”. He has performed extensively in the UK, his highly original, well-honed and intelligent material is punctuated by copious amounts of topical content. He started out on The Stand Up Show in 1995, and spent most of the time between this and 2002 playing at various festivals around the country.
He is now better know for his weekly appearences on the BBC2 comedy show Mock the week, along with Hugh Dennis and Dara O’Briain He often gets mistaken for fellow spectacle-wearing Scots, The Proclaimers, who are from Leith.
