Frank Welker does animal noises. And lots of them. He barks, squeaks, hisses and growls for animated and live-action productions, film and TV. It seems that anytime you need to overdub the sound of a creature, be it adorable or monstrous, you go to him. His listing at the IMDB is massive, but still incomplete -- Welker is said to have done over 1,200 voices in his 40-year voice acting career. As a matter of fact, according to the IMDB, if you sort all the actors in their database by the total revenue generated by all of their films combined, Welker winds up in the number one spot, just ahead of Tom Hanks, Samuel L. Jackson, and Harrison Ford -- pretty cool for a guy few people have even seen.
