The network slowly rose to prominence in the late 1990s as it started chipping away at the ratings of competitor CNN . In the United States, Fox News Channel is the top rated cable news channel. The channel was created by Australian-American media magnate Rupert Murdoch, who hired Roger Ailes as its founding CEO . Fox News has been criticized as advocating conservative political positions; the channel denies allegations of bias in its news reporting.

fox is biased right and cnn is biased left.
but an objective review of fox and cnn reveals that cnn is more biased than fox, i.e. cnn is biased more left than fox is biased right.
I can vouch for this, having watched at least as much cnn than fox. and I also used to be a liberal democrat cnn fan; now I’m a conservative republican fox fan; so I know both sides.
I’m a typical conservative in that I not only consume conservative sources, but also liberal ones.
the typical liberal is less conversant with conservative sources than the typical conservative is conversant with liberal sources.
American mainstream news is pretty light on real information. To say CNN is biased left is a joke. It’s barely moderate. But it would be fair to say it is left compared to Fox.
It’s common with Murdoch media to be polemic. Facts – who cares – it’s all about stirring the pot. As I said the others are pretty light on information, so its pointless in comparing the so called left and right media.
