I agree with Tribble. and I would go further: “follow your heart” is in fact a dangerous creed.
I haven’t seen the movie “fireproof” (a fireman tries to save his marriage) but I have seen the trailer. In the trailer, one character says (wisely), “don’t follow your heart. LEAD your heart.” I like that.
also, dennis prager (a wise man) said, “show me someone whose life’s motto is ‘follow your heart’ and I will show you a miserable life.”
a better motto is, “do your duty.”
