A Dutch band who reached the charts in the 1970’s with Hocus Pocus and Sylvia. One of the few bands to have two instrumental records in the top 10 in the UK at the same time. The band that put the Old Grey Whistle Test on the Map. Guitarist Jan Akkerman voted “Best Guitarist In The World” in NME & Sounds polls for two years running – ahead of Clapton, Hendrix, Santana, et al. Other members being Thijs Van Leer (keyboards, flute, vocals), Bert Ruiter (Bass), Pierre Van Der Linden (Drums). Recently reformed with two new albums in the last couple of years – Focus 8 & New Skin
