Flying Spaghetti Monster Theory

Our universe very well could have been created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster at the beginning of time. It seemed just as plausible a theory as some of the larger religions have proposed. That must have been what Bobby Henderson was thinking when he became the first “Pastafarian.” In 2005 the Kansas State Board of Education made a decision to include intelligent design alongside evolution in the statewide curriculum. Bobby Henderson submitted a letter to the board encouraging them to include other theories as well. Henderson’s parody religion utilizes the same structure of argument that was being utilized by proponents of the “intelligent design” theory. The image included demonstrates an inverse proportion between global warming and number of pirates today.
