Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children

Continuing the storyline based on the hit Playstation1 game Final Fantasy VII, two years have passed since the ruins of Midgar stand as a testament to the sacrifices made in order to bring peace. However, the world will soon face a new menace. A mysterious illness, Geostigma, is spreading fast. Old enemies are astir, and Cloud, who walked away from the life of being a hero to live in solitude, must step forward yet again.

but, in order to understand most of the things that happen in the movie like how the Geostigma came about, who Jenova is, why Cloud is depressed and there's some random girl that talks to him in his head, you really have to had played the Game first.
