I chose English because it’s what I speak. Plus you can travel more places and get by using it than other languages. I would love to learn another language, though. :)

english is the best language because of how incredibly influential england and america have been.

lingua franca of today and future..plus,many languages borrow vocabulary from english without bothering to form their own words!

Well, English is a flexible language, plus it expresses ideas concisely. An English sentence translated into Italian is twice as long :-)

Not only English is the most influential language because of the anglo-american supremacy over the world but it is also the most flexible language with a lot of useful link-words and prepositions to get diferent meanings with the first few basic words (which doesn’t imply a lake of vocabulary).

English has been the language of many great writers and poets: William Shakespeare, Wordsworth and loads of others

I love my language, it's so expressive and has colourful swearwods, it's also the language of lots of the greatest people to ever live

I don't think English is the most beautiful-sounding language, although it does have some of the most beautiful words. However it definitely is the most interesting (in the utmost sense).

There are far too many "mosts" in there.. but there isn't much in the way of synonyms for it.

Germanic languages don't usually sound beautiful (if a language can sound beautiful)
