Emily Fitch

Emily Fitch is one of the most popular characters on the hit British teen drama, Skins. She's also, in my humble opinion, the most beautiful character to grace our TV screens.

Emily is a young woman, a twin, a student in 6th form, a lesbian, and a hopeless romantic. Throughout the 2nd Generation of Skins, she strives to become her own person, to expose her own identity. She steps out of the shadow of her twin sister, Katie, she stands up to her disapproving mother, she finds her own voice, and she struggles to show her girlfriend, Naomi, that their love can be as magical as it seems.

 Emily is, esentially, the perfect girl - the one you can definitely bring home to the parents. She's quiet and giving, patient, and occasionally intuitive - she doesn't mind taking a backseat to her loved ones needs, when she thinks she can help them - but she can be really brave and headstrong, too; if you push her too far, she'll let you know, and often in a big way - Naomi and Katie both saw this. She's the quiet, mostly good girl, but she's also self-aware enough to be comfortable with herself, and sometimes she's impossibly sexy. She's romantic and idealistic, almost to the point of naivete, but she's also dedicated and intelligent enough to make it work.

She also is, as Kathryn Prescott (the actress who played her) said, a "top quality lesbian."
