Electro Dance

Electro (A.K.A Milky way) is a dance that is danced to Electro music. Electro dance started in the early 2000’s, originating from southern Paris, France, night clubs. Electro dance is predominantly about arm movement, taking basic dance elements from many sorts of dances such as Freehand, Vogue, Disco, Wacking, Finger Tutting, Industrial dance, B-boy footwork, and forms of ballet. Electro dancers use their hips, knees, and feet to glide across the floor, as they move to the beat of the music. There are many Networks of Electro dance communities around the world, known as simply Dance Generation. Countries with high amounts of Electro dancers include: France, Italy, Spain, The UK, Russia, West Coast – USA, Mexico, Brazil, and many other European, Latin, and Asian countries. There are annual, and monthly Electro dance competitions, and events held all over the world. One annual event called Vertfight world competitions, where all countries come to compete their best dance crews, is held in France.
