Dumbledore is, of course, my favorite character.
I do not like how he is portrayed in the movies. Nothing like him. Nothing at all. I get very angry, just thinking about it. So I shall not.
Certainly. Including Dumbledore, many characters in the movie were portraited horribly. But I thought he was better portraited in the first two movies and…well, his actor changed, so did the director.
The Dumbledore in the movie was just not Dumbledore enough.

He dresses with great care, his beard is well tended. Smooth and long, not frizzy and unkempt. His robes, in the films, they are scraggly! But really he looks quite smart. This was presented in the very first chapter of the first book. One of the first things described about him was his shoes. A man doesn't wear high-healed shoes without having clothes to match accordingly. And then the scene in The Half Blood Prince, in which Harry and Dumbledore went into the penseive, to see a younger Dumbledore walking down the street in a plum colored suit.
How important his appearance is! How it reflects his character!
Oh, I weep, to think of the films.
The films were definitely nothing comparing to the books. At least he kind of stood out in the films because of his "still quite unique but not exactly what was expected" outfits. Plum color, exactly! His favorite color should be plum. He should have the strangest outfits in the world to match his unique personality. He's got his own beats of drums that people tend to follow. Also, I don't think he looked intelligent enough in the films.
Michael Gambon is as good as he can be in the OotP movie, i think.:/ Well, he is not anything like Dumbledore. It’s really traumatic having Harry Potter movies without Dumbledore. But that other man Michael Gambon plays, cause he simply just isn’t Dumbledore, is good enough in OotP I think. Well, i’ve only seen it once jet, so maybe I will change my mind.
I remember the day I heard that Richard Harris died. (First actor who played Dumbledore) I was like ten years old, and I poured my eyes out! But it's good to remember that in the book he can look however I want him to. Whenver he enters the room in the book,I get a tingly feeling down my spine. Definately a powerful character.

TO THINK THAT THIS IS THE MOST EXPENSES MOVIE EVER MADE AND THEY MESS IT UP SOOO BAD......THE ONLY GOOD THINK ABOUT THE MOVIE WAS THE ANIMATION ...WHY WAS ALL THE ROOM DARK? AND DUMBLEDORE OFFICE WAS SO CRAMP AND DARK AND HE'S SUPPOSE TO BE THE LIGHT LORD?..LOL....I HATE THE DUMBLEDORE ACTOR ANYWAY BUT HE'S JUST SO BAD.....AND DUMBLEDORE DID NOT LOSE THE FIGHT WITH VOLDEMORT. DON'T MATTER NOW STUPID AND WEAK THE LAST 3 MOVIE MAKE HIM OUT TO BE THE FIGHT IN THE BOOK WAS THE BEST FIGHT OUT OF ALL THE BOOK DUMBLEDORE FIGHT ASS....HE'S NOT THE ONLY ONE HE-WHO-MUST-NOT BE- NAMED EVER FEAR!!! FOR NOTHING. AND THEY MESS IT UP SO BAD I WALK OUT THE MOVIES AFTER THE FIGHT COME ON THE ONLY REASON FANS OF THE BOOK SAW IT WAS FOR THE FIGHT ....THE MOVIES WAS THAT BAD AND SHORT......BADLY NEED A REMAKE IN 20+YEAR AND A BETTER ACTOR FOR DUMBLEDORE COME ON THE GUY WEAR ONE SET OF ROBES FROM THE 3 MOVIES AND PROBLY TO THE LAST ......MAY Richard Harris REST IN PEACE......BEST ACTOR EVER!!!! HE HAD THE GRACE AND WISEDOM NOT TO SAY THE LOOK OF ALBUS NON OF WHICH MICHEAL HAVE HE'S WEAK LOOKING BAD ACTOR(VOICE). i love Dumbledore.. as cited from book five by Remus Lupin (moony to padfoot, prongs, and wormtail), Dumbledore has shrewd ideas, but it turns out that his ideas are accurate, or something like that..:D i think it was kinda brilliant, the way he manipulated his death and how he used it against Tom Marvolo Riddle aka Voldemort.
