Philip F. “Duckie” Dale from Pretty in Pink, played by Jon Cryer, is one of the most famous underdog characters of the 80s, and possibly of the 20th century. He’s adorable, funny, and oh-so-quirky. I’d pick him over Blane McDonnagh any day.
