He’s my joint-first favourite Star Trek character. I wuv DeForest Kelley.
Kelley made him the best damned character in the whole Trek universe. Great one liners, a tonne of personality and a multi-layered background makes him, easily, my fave out of all the Trek doctors, beating out Bashir.
Pretty good for a character that was around well before I was born.
