In Digg’s own words – What is digg? Digg is a technology news website that combines social bookmarking, blogging, RSS, and non-hierarchical editorial control. With digg, users submit stories for review, but rather than allow an editor to decide which stories go on the homepage, the users do.

Digg has been only around short time, but is already one of the most trafficed site. Because of the huge quantity and quality of news, Digg.com has become one of the most addictive sites around.

One of the websites that I have opened in my webbrowser all the time. The only thing that would make digg better, would be more bandwidth. It’s really slow sometimes.

I didn’t vote for digg.com as the best News website because it’s mostly geek news. Sorry folks, there is more to life than technology news. If I owned digg, I would have split it off into a whole bunch of different topic, for example politics.digg.com, or a subdomain for stock markets. My .02

Its a great site for news and information but v3 is somewhat lacking in the volume of new stories unlike the previous version. i guess adding other categories kind of changed things

I just do not understand why Digg shows up in searches on Google. Don’t get me wrong. I think Digg is a good service and provides many sites with a good bit of traffic. For example, TechCrunch reported that 80% of the traffic to the site comes from Digg. (reported by Arrington in September 2006)

Its a new type of online networking site where you can create multiple profiles - all under 1 account, and you can permission each of your profiles so that you control who can see what you post.
