Death Cab for Cutie is an American indie-rock band that was formed in Bellingham, Washington in 1997. The band takes their name from a satirical song performed by the The Bonzo Dog Band, a British comedy rock group, on their 1967 album Gorilla. The song was also performed in a striptease act in The Beatles’s movie Magical Mystery Tour.
