Driven mad by conflicting instructions, HAL 9000 , the supposedly “perfect” computer featured in 2001: A Space Odyssey, sings this Victorian Music Hall song as he is dismantled by Bowman, the last surviving human member of The Jupiter Mission.
Interestingly, this last song sung by HAL was zlso the very first song “sung” by an IBM computer shortly before the release of the film.
