I really hate bread from the Supermarket. All of it. Its just lower common denominator bread. The bread is made in such a way that it has no weight, no richness or flavour. The bread from the supermarket is an ingredient to be had with other things, it never can stand by itself.
There are some bakeries that take pride in the bread that they make. It’s an art, they make it so its tastes amazing, and it can stand by itself. It’s nourishing.
One bakery I found sells it bread at the Noosa farmers market every second Sunday and fourth Sunday of the month. You can also find it at the Eumundi markets. They make Long-ferment Sourdough breads in a wood fired oven. It is made with organic ingredients. The bread is heavier, and full of flavour. They make various types: Spelt; New York Rye, Olive bread. It’s amazing. If you are ever in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia visit the Noosa Farmers Market or the Eumundi Markets and buy this bread. It’s worth travelling for.
