Oh, not everyone has a Coldplay album, trust me. Why spend valuable time listening to Coldplay when I could be, say, hammering tent pegs into my ears?

But i bet you life near a bar or a cafe that owns a coldplay album When leaving the house is like hammering tentpegs in your ears, you have to wonder whether you were born on the wrong planet…

I’m judging how good a band is by some common principles, and along with how good they perform live, how skillful they are as musicians, how interesting and indepth the lyrics are and overall drive, there is the quantity of “magical” notes that make your knees tremble, your soul flying high up in the sky, stuff like that. Well, Coldplay is definitely one of the leaders by this factor, having magical notes and harmonies in almost every single song. Only giants like Pink Floyd can top that. Well, nothing can actually top Pink Floyd, so nevermind.

I love “A Message”. It’s one of their best songs, but doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. There’s something about the way he sings the first verse that really gives me a sense of home.

i don't like them, which is unfortunate…all the more so because i only found out after i downloaded all their stuff. 1.8 gigs. took like a week, and i kept all of two songs. oh well.  (sorry to all the fans i just offended, they're just not for me)

lol it's funny how my opinion differs so much from the majority of people on this post..no offence to fans but i get a sudden longing to be deaf everytime i hear one of their songs..thyeir music is just too slow and depressing IMO, and also they remind me too much of keane, who make yet more depressing and funereal music

Their lyrics are so profound. My favorite is the song "Amsterdam". It sounds like how I would imagine Edward from Twilights song for Bella. It's so beautiful. Besides that, I can see a story for each song. 

One of the best bands in the world. All of their albums are awesome, to me.

Oh yea, and to that idiot unremarkable, I hope one of those damn pegs make you internally bleed. : )

I had to create an account to save you all from Coldplay. WHAT THE HELL. Coldplay is NOT, I repeat. NOT a classic rock band! They suck and all their songs sound the same. I would kill myself if I heard Clocks again but I know I will (unfortunately). Please by all means try some Steely Dan, Grateful Dead, Jethro Tull or hey for all of you who like mainstream (Coldplay is the definition of mainstream in case you didn't know) try Pink Floyd, Rush, The Police. Those are classic rock bands. Please save yourselves. I'm from this era too, but come on, just because all this shit is being crammed down our throats doesn't mean we have to accept it.

Ohhhhhh wait.  It caught my eye just now that all the pictures of people who like Coldplay are incredibly emo. Everything makes sense now.  Damn I must be on the wrong page.

Ok so I go searching for the best indie bands and OMG coldplay pops up. Ok answer me this: when did coldplay ever become indie? im not a big fan of coldplay to begin with, and having them be called indie is almost an insult to my fav genre of music. wow… you want indie? try vampire weekend
