Chris Urbanowicz is the guitarist of the British rock band Editors. He was born Christopher Dominian Urbanowicz on the 22 June 1981 in Aslockton, Nottingham. He studied music technology at Staffordshire University for three years with the other members of Editors. He then worked in a shoe shop in Birmingham for two years before the band signed to Kitchenware Records. He has just purchased a flat in Nottingham which sports Le Corbusier sofas and a bright red ferrari telephone. He supports Leytonstone Football Club. He is influenced by such bands as Oasis, Third Eye Blind, Pok Mokakalula, Yes and Elbow. Chris features prominently in an amateur music video produced as coursework during his studies at Staffordshire University
