Because there are more chickens on this planet than people, so EAT AS MANY AS YOU WANT. Plus they taste good. And really, they're not that bright. And although they should be treated with respect, (animal rights and all) they are still a good lunch. : )

they are not as stupid as people think – they do come when called and make good pets actually – and they give eggs – better than what dogs leave!!!!! also taste great!
