Charles Revson, founder and manager of Revlon, Inc. Philanthropist.
With only $300 to his name in 1932, Charles Revson, his two brothers and a friend (Charles Lachman) succeed in producing various [nail] opaque pigments into varnishes. In recognition of his friend Charles Lachman, Revson omits the “V” from his surname and replaces an “L”. Revlon, headquartered in New York, quickly became a marketing pionnière.
