Jack Sparrow is certainly a great pirate. However he's 100 times cooler than the franchise in which he appears; shame that. Granted the first movie was alright, ignoring the gaudy supernatural plot, but the sequels and the tacked-on childrens book series just don't suit the cool character created by Depp at all.
That doesn't change that fact that he's the best pirate.

After all the hype, Disney had to go and mess up Jack Sparrow with childish humour in the 2nd and 3rd. They should have kept that out and stayed serious.
They all were extremely good movies, though.

Captain Jack Sparrow is really a great character he is smart, sneaky, and always leaves you with a laugh. I really want to see a Pirates 4.
4 would have plenty of Jack and Barbossa and no Will/Elizabeth annoyance :D.
