Brazilian musician Caio Mesquita began music classes when he was 5 years old.
Born in Santos, SP, Brazil, Caio Mesquita is a 16 years-old saxophonist virtuoso who also plays 12 other musical instruments including percussion. He has his roots in Bossa -Nova and Brazilian Jazz.
Since discovered by the popular Brazilian talent television program Raul Gil on Bandeirantes Television Network in 2006, Caio has toured different States in Brazil and recorded two cd´s : Caio Mesquita `´ Jovem Brasilidade ´´ with 300,000 copies sold in the first 6 months, and the Christmas recording `´Natal´´ with 50,000 sold in the first 30 days.
A dvd was produced and distributed from a live show performance in São Paulo´s Citibank Hall in October 2006, with the special participation of Ivan Lins .
