To be honest, British are not the only one to make this confusion. By the way, I would like to know the real name of this deity.

There are a lot of religions in the world and I respect them all (as long as they respect all alive beings)... but the most respectable religion of all is undoubtfully Buddhism. We should all learn from it and became better human beings. The world would be a better place to live…

Perhaps the best thing about Buddhism is the ability to mix it with others religions, Buddhism is not exclusive, that’s why it never involves war.

ACtually the large laughing buddha is the chinese buddha statue or sometimes known as the 'jolly taverner' In gardening stores in Britain. The slender buddha is known as a thai buddha. Then there is the tibetan buddha which is only slightly different to the thai buddha as the thai buddha usually has a large point from the head. Personally id prefer a laughing happy average build buddha but nothign can be perfect.

Yes, Owncreation. Might we all meditate on whatever makes us happy, and discover enlightment, that we may kindle the gently burning flame of the Buddhisatva within all of our souls. Smile

Peace in your mind, and love in your heart.
