I quite like my Bose Companion 2 computer speakers, but Bose suck out the mids, which the speaker neophyte loves. I like a nice flat sounding speaker/monitor which does a nice 2-3K frequency. Boosting up at 3K can give the sound a nice punch, were a Bose has a hard time reproducing.
