A four-piece from France, Birdy Nam Nam take their name from a Peter Sellers line in Blake Edwards' film The Party. The DJ crew consists of Crazy-B, DJ Pone, DJ Need, and Little Mike.
Utilising upwards of four turntables they are able to create songs in genres as wide apart as drum and bass, jazz, rock and of course hip hop, using purpose cut vinyl and occasionally live musicians (their friends) on drums, double bass, keyboards, etc.
Their skill really has to be seen to be believed: Absesses. Enjoy.
And people say the turntable isn't an instrument. Get with the programme.

I just realized where I recognize that track from, Requiem for a dream.
Really? I don't remember it from that! Good spot if true. I'll have to watch the film again. Damnit. Seeing Jennifer Connolly like that just breaks my heart!
Yeah I know, great film but hard to watch. Pretty sure this track is on there…
