Video Vibrations. Video Soul with Donnie Simpson. Those were the days. You saw all the artists that MTV wouldn’t play, including blue-eyed soul artists like Lisa Stansfield. Hip hop was still vital then too. I always thought that BET should have created a strictly music channel under its brand, but then there wouldn’t have been much programming on BET .
