"Berserk" is about a man named Gatsu called by most "Guts", who travels with a band of mercenaries named "The Hawks" led by the young but brilliant Griffith. Gatsu was born to a corpse hanging from a tree and found by a woman. He was believed to be a curse because the woman that found him died not too long after, as a child grew up with a band of mercenaries and was watched over by a man. Gatsu has deep rage as a child because he was raped. This kinda shows in the earlier epidose of the series as he doesn't like to be touched by men and he has dreams of running from a giant hand naked. Gatsu grows up to be a fine swordsman and is reknown for killing 100 soilders single-handedly. He later in the anime is betrayed by his bestfriend and close comrade Griffith and ends up becoming the black swordsman punishing all that follow Griffith.

mann… i still cant get over the fact that Gutsu was rapped… it hurts to kno that someone that strong can be that vulnerable… i love the anime and the game they are both excellent and intreging, griffith hatin' ass on the other hand lol
