Being the Survivor

I know this from experience. I certainly don't mean to sound ungrateful, because I'm anything but. What I mean to say is that being the survivor is a double-edged sword. I've survived cancer, and yet far too many others I've known and loved haven't survived it. To honor them and their memories, I'm going to live my life to the fullest – and I'm also going to do what I can to help others beat cancer like I beat mine.
