Being DIFFERENT

Being different rocks, the world would be boring if everyone was the same.

Being diffrent is totally awesome!!

Can someone tell me the art of not caring? Because I’m always doing what everyone else is doing and it annoys me.

Being different is what makes me who I am. At school, people follow trends and like what others like. I went against that though. People in my grade love the popular, new, bands, while I like the classic and older bands. It makes me who I am. If EVERBODY was the same, I would go crazy.

No one is truly ever different.  All that's old and vintage, was once new and loved, and still loved by many.  In fact, when something new comes on the scene, it's really making an attempt at being different, if ever so slightly from the current "it".  It's ignorant to purposely deprive yourself of great new things, just because there are those who would be willing to build their life and image on what others "think" and "like".  Don't be different to stand out.  Don't be like everyone else because of what they might think.  Think of what you like, regardless of who likes it.  Be different, not  by trying to be, but by living life, enjoying it, and making sure the outcome makes you happy!

true. but still. do what you want and not what others want you to do. then, then my friend, you are truely DIFFERENT!!! :P

Tho' I am too shy to up-live this myself, I really admire those who aren't afraid to be different and do their own thing.

I think Dark King X has a very good point. It seems just trying so hard to be different is itself a trend these days. Personally, I think what really matters is if you honestly like it or not; irregardless of whether it's something everybody knows about or something completely foreign. Then, you're getting the most out of your interests. But of course, whatever floats your boat. :)
