With recent mentions of ten shillings/ten bob (Decimalisation 1971), an excellent pastiche of the cover of X-Men comic #1(1963) and a character reading The Long Hello (The Long Goodbye) (Raymond Chandler 1953) The Beano certainly isn’t just for children it’s for us “grown-ups” too, so go down to you newsagent on Thursdays and keep Britain’s best comic going. (If you don’t Dennis and Gnasher will come looking for you!!)
