Bauhaus are a Gothic Rock band formed in 1978 by Peter Murphy (vocals), Daniel Ash (guitar), Kevin Haskins (drums) and David J (bass). They combined Doors-like 6Os psychedelic rock with Glam and Punk to create a dark and melancholy sound. They are widely regarded as the first proper Goth band, and released the first ever Goth single: Bela Lugosi's Dead, in 1979. The Best Goth Band in the world ever (closely followed by The Cure of course).
