Manuel has a pet rat that he insists is a Siberian hamster. It escapes just as a public health inspector is visiting the hotel. After much ado Manuel captures the rat and hides it in a biscuit tin. In the final scene Basil offers the public health inspector some biscuits and the rat is staring up at him.
