The J-Pop solo voice is by and large not strong enough to carry a career very long (there are exceptions of course). Better that these singers latch on to some kind of group (Hello!Project and Morning Musume have done a masterful job at bringing together non-solo voices into a synergy that really hums). Just an observation. http://www.writingup.com/blog/Radicalpatriot
