Lester = one of the best characters ever invented. ♥
A friend said it better, I think: “a shallow narrative stuffed with caricatures that feels pompous as it tries to punch well above its weight. It’s only the (mainly exceptional) performances that make it work at all.”

Lester Burnham – I am that man!
When I saw this movie for the first time, it blew me away!! Lester Burnham is a great character, I think there is a little Lester in all of us.
I had never seen this film until the other night, and I regret having put it off for so long. Amazing! Phenomenal script. When I was in NY in 2000, I saw a shopping bag like the one in the movie. I watched it sail into the sky until I couldn’t see it anymore. I was shocked to discover that the screenwriter saw the bag that inspired him to write the movie in the exact same place that I did.
Omg that movie is sad…I luv it. ^^ What the hell are you suppost to be looking at when it sey’s “Look closer”. O.O
