You should say sub-culture… No, I’m just joking but I don’t see the point to rank cultures. No culture can be better than another, culture is the difference.
Moreover, I think America (I mean USA ) is not really homogeneous, so it doesn’t make any sense to consider America as a single culture.
core values (such as freedom) are the essential elements of culture.
cuisine and art, by comparison to core values, are trivial aspects of culture.
for instance, a case can be made that china has a better cuisine than many another country; but china’s core values are more important than cuisine.
one of china’s core values is communism; they are a communist country. their access to information is controlled by the government.
therefore, though china may have a great cuisine, their culture is, on balance, not as good as cultures that have more freedom.
It’s a point of view. I don’t consider politic as “the” core value, it’s a whole. Politics, Art, Gastronomy… Everythings.
By the way, it is all very well to have free access to information, but if you always watch Fox news, that doesn’t make any difference.
I would say the same with an other channel, I think the best way to stay critical is to mix various medium.

I have watched at least as much cnn as fox. I used to be a liberal democrat cnn fan; now I’m a conservative republican fox fan; so I know both sides.
I’m a typical conservative in that I not only consume conservative sources, but also liberal ones.
I have gone to hear speeches in person by famous liberals including jesse jackson and tony campolo (advisor to president clinton).
the typical liberal is less conversant with conservative sources than the typical conservative is conversant with liberal sources.
We do not have the same conception of culture, I am absolutely relativist (If I could be relatively relativist, I would be lol). As I explained, I think it’s a whole, it is not possible to consider the values of a country without the way of life, the art, etc. It’s linked. For instance, Pop art is the expression of the American way of life (food, music, advertising, etc.), it could not be Chinese.

america is the worst country in the world. it was created in evil, stolen from the murdered natives who worshipped it as the beautiful land it was and knew it initmately . it is mongreul society with no culture and history that feeds its citizens on lies abotu history to promote patriotic attitues and contempt in living and supporting the motives of the governement. american people are the most stupid people in the world. they do onot recieve an education but learn lies about history 'according to america' they know nothing but they think they know everything. they have nothing. and they know nothing about any thing that matters. by far the worst country in the world. if america was left to the native americans. the world would be restored to its natural, cultural, historic beautiful self with every country being a land of beauty culture and local heritage. if we didnt have this big verucca mess of greed, ego,no morals, no standards, no purity, no heritage, no culture, no identiy people leeching off the side of us that is amercia.
American people have no idea how lucky they are. Europe is boring to the very last detail. You have so many beautiful cities, neighbourhoods and parks, and the history and culture of it is simply amazing. The USA have some of the most interesting and wonderful Landmarks in the entire world: you can do so much more over there than anywhere else.

I totally love my country and about the indians everybody took land from the indians.. and how can they give back the land to the indian when most people like myself are a mix of all the different cultures that have came to america because i am cherokee indian, irish, german, and swiss runs in my family? And not all Americans are what most people picture us as i find it stupid to judge us based on our country we are from tisk tisk.. but you still wont change my mind I love my country even all its downfalls!
hmmmm jimi hendrix was born in america as was other famous people….. and america did help australia in WW2…. but then we did pay them back in korea…. and vietnam….. and afganistan (dont think i spelt this right) even though all the american started wars were i believe unjustified and they did nuke two japanese cities which i believe was uncalled for as russia was apparently planing to focus on fighting japan since germany got owned, so i hate it when america goes on about how other countries shouldnt have nukes cause there crazy… and there always like “god bless america” you wouldnt catch our PM saying that… oh yeah and i hate that america’s always like were the defenders of freedom and the leaders of the free world…. and what cuisine? give an example if by cuisine u mean the results multiculturalism then most australia has it too.
I think America's motto is great! I just don't think that they are carrying out that motto.
