Amanda Egge

Amanda Egge has a BA in Philosophy from Reed College where she wrote her thesis on Vagueness. After a brief stint in graduate school at NYU , she moved to Los Angeles where she began doing stand-up and sketch comedy. A collector of somewhat expensive pieces of paper, Amanda has a “Master of Improvisation” certificate from the Second City Conservatory Program, where she co-wrote and performed in the sketch show A Monkey could do this Shit!

She currently calls the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles home where she hosts the Dirtiest Sketch in LA Contest, named Pick of the Week by the LA Times in September of 2005.

Amanda Egge has performed stand-up at the Comedy Store, the Hollywood Improv, the Comedy Underground in Seattle and at other various venues from New York to Los Angeles.
