Maybe to a European, but in the US, people drive on the right, and know not to drive in the other direction on that side of the road. Furthermore, not only are there "one way" signs on poles in this picture, but the word "ONLY" is written from the perspective of somebody who's already facing the correct direction.
huh? its just saying you cant drive back, kinda logical because there is no "other side" in this picture. The only thing thats odd is that they think that people want to turn around while it says one direction street.
Assuming that that's what they were thinking when they wrote that. Personally, I think they wanted to make it clear that vehicles in both lanes were allowed to turn left, even though those in the right lane didn't have to. Some people traveling down that street might have thought that there was only one left-turn lane available, but with those arrows they can see that they don't have to switch lanes to turn left. The thing that makes it comical is the fact that they added the word "ONLY."

LoL you serious dont think european people drive on the left do you?
Well, I don't seriously think someone who's used to driving on the left would think somebody driving would need a reminder to drive on the left.
