[Band] French electronic duo. Let’s talkie walkie!
[Element] Earth’s atmosphere is a layer of gases surrounding the planet Earth and retained by the Earth’s gravity. It contains roughly 78% nitrogen, (normally inert except upon electrolysis by lightning1 and in certain biochemical processes of nitrogen fixation), 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.04% carbon dioxide, and trace amounts of other gases, in addition about 1% water vapor. This mixture of gases is commonly known as air.
The wind is the motion of air. It is global, yet it is local, and its properties are compressibility, and often invisibility (less it is carrying smoke particles, for example). The air of the planet has been generated by biological means, and largely through the process of photosynthesis, where planets take in carbon dioxide and water, and give out oxygen as a product. (For more detailed information of this aspect, see another article at this site concerning The Gaia Hypothesis, of Lovelock and Margulis.
The air is known to each aerobic living being through the process of breathing, and thus for man forms one of the strongest connections to the sustenance of his physiology. The rhythm of the breath, and its importance in the overall management of the body’s physiology is often a specially emphasised aspect in many forms of yoga, and relaxation techniques of many (global) traditions.
