I’m partial to the kind of cat that walks right up to you on the street and makes its case for you adopting it on the spot.

or, rather, the cat adopts you on the spot.

My fat man, Vladimir, came to me in an outback town in Australia. He said ‘meow meow murr, bow meeooo…’, and with such romantic words, I was his for life. He was about 7 weeks when he found me and for the last 8 years has been my unwaivering companion, who I love, adore, cherish and feel privilaged to wake up with his 10kgs cutting off the circulation to my legs.

While I know he will never forget the incident where mum took him to the vet to have his balls relacated to a jar, he forgives me and has dedicated his life to one good food and relaxation. He probably wishes we had a pool to lounge next to.
