Actually their band name is 2NE1 because there is a group named 21 alread.... so therefore,they are named 2NE1 officially. "NE" stands for New Evolution, and the 21 stands also for the 21st century. so, 2NE1 will be the new evolution for the 21st century. 2NE1 will be formall debut on May
