i think it's not very common because USA is SO huge and it's like 'the greatest country in the world' and stuff like that people say all the time. It's really cute that you like to come here.
yea..and whats pretty cool is that one summer when i went to Portugal my oldest cousin had his hair spiked into a fohawk and he looked just like Cristiano Rondalo…its even funnier that his name is Cristoffe lmao
The 3 stars next to the titles of the files that you have bested in your 'stuff' list are a rating system of sorts. 3 stars being best (no duh). Just click the # of the star to rate it.
I need to get going now. It's been fun chatting. I'm usually on around this same time each night, if you'd like to talk again. Or you could leave me a message anytime. I'll get back to.
A Best friend of mine from in here is from Egypt. Way cool. But, it does cause problems though. You meet someone in here, by pure chance you are on at the same time & have a wonderful conversation... But then, it becomes to difficult to meet up again. <=( poo
Porto is an interesting city as well. With lots of narrow streets and places to explore. :) When you're not a local, moving around can be a difficult experience. :P jk
If you ever come here, let me know and I'll show you a bit of this. :D
Let me explain... People our age don't usually say 'como estas'; we prefer 'tudo bem?' . I guess it's the 'what's up' equivalent or something like that. xP
And a tiny detail: the word 'estas' has a small signal above the 'a'. It's like this: 'estás' .
Hmm, officially, kids begin to learn English in their 5th grade, when they're about 10/11 years-old.
I had some weekly lessons in my primary school, but no big deal.
I mean, I have good grades but I think it's not thanks to those extra classes you know? There's no way they could've give me all that advance. xD
Spanish is very useful here in Portugal, as Spain is the only 'neighbour' country we have. But there are stories about those places in southern american states, near latin countries, where you have to speak spanish if you want to buy an hamburguer, as all the staff is composed by immigrants and no one speaks english! xD It may be exaggerated, but it's kind of funny to think about it. I guess you don't have that kind of problems, since you live in Ohio. :P
That's totally true! Except for a region called Galiza, in the northwest of Spain, where their language is even more similar to portuguese (in medieval times, people spoke galaico-portuguese), Spanish people don't understand portuguese at all, even if we speak slowly. :S Don't ask me why! x]
So tell me, what do you love doing when you're not having classes? (I'm such a curious person. :P )
Let me see, I love going to the cinema! I go almost every week. The last film I saw was 'Into the Wild'. I like non-commercial/indie/european films, but that one and 'Juno', for example, are pleasant surprises among the 'blockbuster american scene'. But let me tell that I'm a rare type.xD
Most people don't like this kind of film, they're more into comedies, action or horror. Actually, there are only one or two theatres in the entire city with films like those I described you. Bad for me, but that's how it is. :X
In the summer, I always go the beach. :D It's great because I can get there by foot in only ten minutes. If you gave me your email I could send you a map with the location of my house. :)
Or going to summer festivals. it's amazing! Rock bands are my thing. :P
But that's amazing! You started dancing almost when you learned how to walk! o.O xP So cute! ^^
I enjoy dancing, from time to time, when I am so full of energy and I need to relax a bit.
Northern beaches are okay, but the water is cold. :S Almost everyone I know goes to Algarve in the summer. The water, the sand, the weather, it's perfect there. :]
You're right! Albufeira is incredibly croudy in August, being most of the turists English.
Older people say it's not like it used to be anymore: without all those touristic restaurants, hotels and agencies. There were fisherman houses and little more.
Algarve must've been almost like a lost paradise. I believe it was. ;)
well... when I say 5 000, I mean the main village of the concelho. =P
but do you like Portugal? I always find it great to find out how other people see my country, because I know that sometimes the way I see US or UK is really different from what it really is...
but I think that in the carnaval it's still the less dangerous time of the year, because there is more security, like cops and stuff like that on the streets. =S I would prefer to go to Rio de Janeiro on new year's eve, though, the traditions are so pretty!
But Porto Alegre is in the south, and not a so dangerous city, I think. =S but going there with my parents would be frustating as I could not visit anyone with them there. =P so I have to wait until I grow up.
I finish school there, you finish school here! we change our looks to look like each other! LOOOL
kidding... I'll wait till I finish school, too. three more years and I'll go to college. I'll try to study in a northern country in Europe. with my grades, I don't espect it to be much difficult. =)
and I went there with some friends, because we were going to play with the local band, so there were no parents, only older people who were even worst than us. LOL. we barely slept.
I really miss being there. it was great. I think you'll like it. =)
hey! welcome to Bestuff…its a lot of fun here so hope you meet some nice people…later!
Hallo! =)

Then they find out that I'm not Bill, und he is a Man. They seem to disapear after that. LOL
Not just you!
Most are run by thier... well, they don't think b4 they speak. They can be pretty sweet sometimes though. =)

I need to get going now. It's been fun chatting. I'm usually on around this same time each night, if you'd like to talk again. Or you could leave me a message anytime. I'll get back to.

LOL
All that chatting that we did yesturday, I didn't notice that we hadn't 'friended' yet!
We have now. =)
Oh well, lol =)

Sorry I just kinda went earlier,
I was to tired to think straight. <=1
How did it go?
Just answering so mail & such. =)
Yup, same time zone!
I think that you might be one of the first in here that is. LOL
Ja,
A Best friend of mine from in here is from Egypt. Way cool. But, it does cause problems though. You meet someone in here, by pure chance you are on at the same time & have a wonderful conversation... But then, it becomes to difficult to meet up again. <=( poo
Yes, aprox the same time.
you take care. =)
Don't you speak portuguese?
I can help if you have any doubts. ;)
I'm from the North, and live in Oporto, or just Porto in portuguese.
What about you? Where do you live?
Porto is an interesting city as well. With lots of narrow streets and places to explore. :) When you're not a local, moving around can be a difficult experience. :P jk
If you ever come here, let me know and I'll show you a bit of this. :D
Estou bem obrigada. :)
Yeah! That's almost perfect! :D
Let me explain... People our age don't usually say 'como estas'; we prefer 'tudo bem?' . I guess it's the 'what's up' equivalent or something like that. xP
And a tiny detail: the word 'estas' has a small signal above the 'a'. It's like this: 'estás' .
Besides that, keep going! ;]
Yes we do! :D From 14th to 30th March.
And thank you. ^^

Beijo* ;)
It is funny, but wierd also.
Let me see, I love going to the cinema! I go almost every week. The last film I saw was 'Into the Wild'. I like non-commercial/indie/european films, but that one and 'Juno', for example, are pleasant surprises among the 'blockbuster american scene'. But let me tell that I'm a rare type.xD

hey there. =]
how cool! did you move? 'cause you're living in US now, right?
do you speak portuguese?
You're right! Albufeira is incredibly croudy in August, being most of the turists English.
Older people say it's not like it used to be anymore: without all those touristic restaurants, hotels and agencies. There were fisherman houses and little more.
Algarve must've been almost like a lost paradise. I believe it was. ;)
I live in a small village near Coimbra. =]
and I mean REAAAALLY small. LOL 10 000 habitants in the whole "concelho", which mean that in the village not more than 5 000. =S or even less.
well... when I say 5 000, I mean the main village of the concelho. =P
but do you like Portugal? I always find it great to find out how other people see my country, because I know that sometimes the way I see US or UK is really different from what it really is...
no... I wish!
I've only been to Spain and Luxembourg, so far. =/
But I plan to travel a lot. :D
my parents said that we'd probably go to Barcelona this summer. *cross fingers* *-*
it's like... the only Spanish city that I love. xD
I've only been to Madrid, Valencia, and some small cities just near Portugal. =S
I want to go to Paris, and I REALLY want to go to London. *-*
And I would loooove to go to Tokio, aswell. oh, and I need to visit some friends in Porto Alegre, Brazil. xD
yeah, really dangerous. =/
but I think that in the carnaval it's still the less dangerous time of the year, because there is more security, like cops and stuff like that on the streets. =S I would prefer to go to Rio de Janeiro on new year's eve, though, the traditions are so pretty!

yup. but Brazil isn't really one of mine "must visit". I would only go there to meet some friends, that's all. I love Europe and Asia, especially.
Portugal is beautiful... to see and visit.
not to live here.
I mean, I live in a small town, so... it's really boring.
but even Lisboa is boring. TV is boring, radio is boring... you know what I mean... lol.
oh, I use to say that Algarve isn't even Portugal... it's full with tourists all over the year, and everything is around that. x-x
it as nothing to do with north. lol.
I don't really like beach, or sun. I love snow.
*-*
I will definitly move to somewhere where it snows. where do you really live? let me write it down! LOL
do you want to switch homes? LOL
ohio! *-*
I finish school there, you finish school here! we change our looks to look like each other! LOOOL
kidding... I'll wait till I finish school, too. three more years and I'll go to college. I'll try to study in a northern country in Europe. with my grades, I don't espect it to be much difficult. =)
I didn't even know there was a university in Faro! LOL
If I'm staying in Portugal, I will study in Coimbra or Porto.
yeah, I think you should visit them. They're really beautiful.
Boring, but beautiful. lol
I went to Azores in 2006!
it's amazing! *-*
and I went there with some friends, because we were going to play with the local band, so there were no parents, only older people who were even worst than us. LOL. we barely slept.
I really miss being there. it was great. I think you'll like it. =)
Thanx for the add!!! How R U? :)
Doin pretty good!
Im Serbian, but I live (study) in England… Whut bout U?
